Get Smart would say (I missed it by that much) I missed it by 2 sec 11/ 11 2011. 11;11, Ultimat Vodka from Poland

I thought the date to day 11 November 2011 was interesting,

the Title ( I missed it by that much ) came from the TV show Get Smart with Don Adams,

planed to shoot a model to get the date and time to be 11/11/11  11: 11.11 on the METADATA of the   image , well did not get a model ,so thought I would shoot a still life ,

at about 9.30 am put some stuff out  but just did not like any of it,   played some more,,

now its 10.35 mmm need to get this done,

had a Ultimat Vodka bottle   set this up with some stuff  now it is nearly  11 am,  set it up the lights took a test shoot changed it a little readjusted the lights ,

checked the time on my camera O M G it was not the same as my computer or the same as my studio clock ,
wow ,I need to do this now ,I need the date and time with the metadata on the image or it makes no sense

tried to work it out in my mind, I do not wear a watch, so tried to count the time from one shot to the next but dam missed it by that much 2 sec , I got it at 11/11/11 11: 11:13 am,

but still happy and love the image I created , why did I do this, I guess because I can and was just interested in the date for an image,          next will be 12/12/12

below one of my test shots  which I also like ,

Autum again, Bike Styling Design

Autum just come's up with these designs, Epitaph     http://autumshere.com/

this bike has 4 wheels, also some images with model Annnn ,

John M. Soderberg's bronze Sculpture , Sermon

I photographed this Bronze Sculpture at the clients house was really interested in why and what the Sculpture,, Sermon ,, was about ,so have put the information on here ,with two of the images from that shoot, it stands over 6'

  Sermon

John M. Soderberg's bronze, Sermon, is not meant to represent one man, but rather what a number of men themselves represented.
Kashyapa was disciple to the Buddha, as well as being his successor--chosen as such because only he, Kashyapa, understood the master's most famous and profound sermon, in which, atop Mount Gridharkuta, the Buddha uttered not a word, but merely held a yellow lotus toward his disciples--an awesomely simple message which has been called, for some two thousand years, simply the Sermon of the Lotus. Kashyapa was the first Great Patriarch; the 27th after him took both Buddhism and the meaning of that Sermon to Japan. And Nichiren, the son of a fisherman who grew to be the warrior monk, foretold that Kublai Khan's impending invasion of Japan would succeed--unless Japan took up the Way of the Lotus, the "Lotus Sutra," the teachings that had grown from that wordless sermon. Japan listened. And it came true: the mighty fleet of the grandson of Genghis Khan was struck by the kamikaze, the "divine wind," and sunk in the Genkai Straits.

In a battle in 1582, Lord Akechi Mitsuhide, a follower of Nichiren, found himself besieged, hopelessly outgunned and outnumbered--doomed. He sent to the opposing general this note: "My castle is burning, and soon I shall die. I have many excellent swords which I have treasured all my life, and am loath to have destroyed with me. I will die happy if you will stop your attack for a short while, so that I can have the swords sent out and presented to you." The fighting ceased. The swords were wrapped in a thin mattress and lowered with reverence from the smoldering castle. Then the fighting resumed. Lord Akechi died.
Soderberg was also deeply inspired by the life of Miyamoto Musashi possibly the greatest swordsman in history who died in 1645 after surviving an incredible 60 combats.

He was a simple man whose entire life was an art form. Instead of simply attempting to master the sword, he strove to learn from it, so that he might master himself. He is also known as "Nitan" his artist name. Even in his own life, he was renowned for his "Sumi-e," or ink paintings, which were executed with grace and an economy of strokes. The same sword hand that could split an armored opponent vertically in half was capable of tremendous delicacy and elegance. He was also a sculptor in wood and a respected author whose thoughts and writings are studied and used today.
To quote Eiji Yoshikawa in his book Musashi, "his ordinariness is what's extraordinary about him. He's not content with relying on whatever natural gifts he may have. Knowing he's ordinary, he's always trying to improve himself. No one appreciates the agonizing effort he's had to make. Now that his years of training have yielded such spectacular results, everyone's talking about his 'God-given talent.' That's how men who don't try very hard console themselves".

Black and white photography model Cigar and smoke

Unexpected visit, Mayhem model Cissi from Columbia, South Carolina,
was in LA and wanted to stop by to say hello and maybe get coffee which she did,

as I had some time  , we decided to shoot for an hour or so , my idea was about creating a face to put to canvas in photo shop, for an artist self portrait in colour,

well as I setup the lighting she was just standing there and I started thinking in black and white  as I saw the shadow on her face, then  started going down a different road ,so from a beauty face in colour  for a self portrait ,

I ended up creating this with Cissi  , big difference from my first thought, but sure glad I can change direction very quickly ,

models over 30 SunShiney and over 40 Dora Voyeurism and an Artist

some times you just meet amazing people who are models but there not in there teens or twenty some thing ,
which is SunShiney and Dora both stunning ,blond and brunet with killer body's . I do not shoot glamor which is what they shoot but was very interested in working with them,

told them of my concept's which they where up for,

they came in, did there own makeup and hair ,and it was just so nice to feel that harmony in the studio when things are just flowing so well between you the model,
they under stand the concept plus wanted it to happen , very much a different photoshoot for them ,

the photo shoot was just amazing and enjoyable working with them , I love it when a plan comes together and you have beautiful models like SunShiney and Dora  to work with ,

the first concept was Dora as an artist painting a picture of SunShiney,  so I had to shoot SunShiney for the painting first and create the image , then  photoshop that picture in on the canvas as Dora is not a painter , there are many more of this series .

the second concept was for my book on Voyeurism  this is looking through a Keyhole,  this was not as easy as I thought  ,

I did shoot this through a keyhole ,mind you a some what larger keyhole than normal ,another great series with many more images ,
