Barbara Austin: Artist in Collages

BIOGRAPHY OF THE ARTIST.

The artist, a naturalized citizen, grew up in London, England.  She has lived and worked in Orange County for over 20 years and currently resides in Costa Mesa.

A teacher of Drama, History and English, she took her first art class in her late 30’s.  Her passion grew, and experimenting in a variety of mediums, developed a love of pen and ink, and  found true expression in photographic collage.

The photographs that form her collages span 3 decades and 3 continents, forming a large body of work entitled  

 ‘Reality Is Illusion’.
